I have a few books in my repertoire that I’d like to recommend. Although I’m listing them according to whom I think they’d be appropriate for, anyone can read them in any order.
We will never stop growing and learning, reading is a great way to do that. If your interested in spiritual growth (in Christ) you may find solely visiting church on Sunday’s just isn’t enough. Collectively the authors below shared experiences in their lives that led them to acquire wisdom. Maybe one day we will be become best-selling authors of our own experiences.
Who This Book Is For
Beginners: Babes in Christ – those who are new to the faith; and backsliders; especially for those of us with unresolved issues.
Proof of Heaven by Eben Alexander, M.D. – This book is about a skeptical neurosurgeon who has a change of heart. I like it because it’s nonfiction yet mesmerizing.
Enemies of the Heart by Andy Stanley – This book is an AWESOME read for those of us who want to address unresolved issues and avoid them in the future. This is a good read for people who feel they have no character flaws or personal issues as well.
Intermediate: You’ve made some baby steps forward and are now a child of God; young in Christ but older than a babe; and for those of us who want to move forward in their faith walk.
Wisdom for the Wait by Tiffany Kameni/Tiffany Buckner – Things to work on while you’re single.
The Submissive Wife by Tiffany Buckner – This book helps us to revisit how we feel about submission.
Varsity Team: You’re ready for your first championship; those of us who attended church for several years and got nothing out of it but want to learn. Warning: This book is intense, I’ve had to put it down a few times because bruh! I wasn’t ready lol. However this book helped me to acquire peace.
Pigs in the Parlor by Frank Hammond – Remember that guy who claimed he was DELIVERT! From homosexuality? Yeah this is not what this book is about but it will help you with deliverance. But be ready and prepare yourself.
